About Gritt's

Gritt's Auto is a full-service domestic and foreign vehicle repair facility. We offer fast, affordable, and reliable repairs and 24-hour towing, a clean, comfortable, and spacious waiting area with free wireless Internet access, free estimates, and ASE-certified technicians. We have four auto technicians and five repair bays.

Gritt's Auto customers are loyal and longstanding, and we consider many of them to be extended family. Our customers depend on us to care for several generations of their family vehicles. Additionally, we are proud to serve a number of quality area businesses who have chosen to rely on us for all of their business-related service and repair needs for many years.

Gritt's Auto has been a member of the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce since 2010.

Our History

The history of Gritt's Auto Service begins in 1983, when Randall (Randy) Gritt opened Valley Automotive on Highway 23, just west of Plymouth, WI. In 1986, the Valley Automotive building was destroyed by fire. Four years later, in 1990, Randy re-opened his business on Branch Road and Highway 23, changing the name to Gritt's Auto Service. As the business expanded, Gritt's Auto Service eventually employed three auto technicians and outgrew its location. So in August of 2008, the business moved again to 740 Western Avenue in Plymouth, where it is presently located. The current location features easier access for customers, better visibility, more repair bays, and a more spacious waiting area.

Lisa M Gritt

Owner / Automotive Technician

Lisa has 11 years experience in management in the restaurant industry, working for Wendy's and Bridgeman Foods before joining Gritt's Auto in 1992. She has 19 years automotive experience with Gritt's Auto. Lisa holds two ASE certificates and is state certified in air conditioning repair. She has worked in all positions in the company.

Jacob Dydlon

Service Technician

Jacob has 12 years experience in the automotive industry. He previously worked at Goodyear and a Pontiac/GMC dealership in Minnesota.

Jason Lenderman

Lead Technician / Master Mechanic

Jason is an ASE certified Master Mechanic and L1 Engine Performance specialist. He is certified in emission repair from Waukesha County Technical College and the State of Wisconsin, and mobile air conditioning repair certified by the State of Wisconsin. He has 25 years experience as an automotive technician and has been an employee of Gritt’s Auto for 15 years. Jason has hands-on experience in the service manager, ordering, and customer service positions at Gritt's Auto.
